I built my first EdTech company, LearnMaker in 2014, closing partnerships with Apple, Google and the Department for Education. We worked with more than 1,000 schools. In 2021, I cofounder EdTech Impact, growing it into the largest EdTech marketplace in Europe.
Teams that had at least 1 experienced founder working with them were 49% more likely to be successful than teams comprised solely of first time founders.
I’ve also worked on the education side of the sector. As a Specialist Advisor to the Academy Programme, I worked with the DfE and school commissioners for 2 years. Add to this that I’ve been a COO in a Multi-Academy Trust as COO, experiencing firsthand just how MATs think about, procure, and utilise EdTech.
In all, I’ve worked across as much of the UK EdTech sector as is possible.
