Selling to Multi-Academy Trusts in 2023 Event
90-minute webinar to help you to build a MAT strategy that really works

By 2030, the Department for Education has set the goal that every school in the UK will be part of a Trust.
As of the last year, 10,176 school (42%) of all English schools are now part of Trust.
The DfE’s target looks far off, but the trajectory is clear - MATs are only going to grow in power and influence so there's never been a better time to develop a MAT strategy for your business.

The Growing Influence of MATs

EFF Data 2022
The chart shows the growth and influence of larger MATs (10+ schools), who with them bring more experienced centralised teams with better procurement practices.
In 2018, just 8% of Academies were in a 10+ school MAT while today, 20% are. That’s 2,040 schools.
Another key factor is that the average Multi-Academy Trust will hit 8 schools this year, giving central teams the resources and direction to invest in centralised procurement (either directly, or indirectly)

EFF Data 2022
Despite the clear direction of the English education system, there remains surprisingly little best practice around how to marketing to and sell to Multi-Academy Trusts.
Email suppliers continue to sell email lists despite poor ROI performance. Tradeshows continue to sell sponsorships and exhibition space, despite the little interest Trust central teams have in attending.
